 In Interesting reads, Races

On Friday the 12th of July, the Cycle Power team will head down to Mbombela ahead of the Jock Classic.  The team will be participating in the 154km race, taking on a massive 2900m of climbing over 3 stages, in one day.

Stage One consist of a 48km stage from Mbombela to White River; Stage Two is 45km going from White River through to Sabie via Spitskop and Stage Three going from Sabie back to Mbombela via Long Tom Pass.  The team will be racing for the youngest rider, Keanan Roodt.

The team will be going head to head with some of the best elite tour riders the country has to offer.  Maurice, John and Dylan will have their work cut out for them ensuring that no breaks get away and that Keanan saves his legs for the last stage.

Going into race day, the team will have the best possible chance to do well thanks to our fantastic sponsors and management staff.  Salice will give the boys peace of mind, knowing their heads and eyes are well protected with the highest quality safety wear.  Science In Sport will be fuelling the boys every step of the way.  Elite Sports Massage Therapy will be preparing the boys legs before and during the event using MYO2 recovery gel; and being in the team car to help out with whatever they need.

Team Manager, Ryan White, will send the boys heading into the race with clear, structured tactics for them to follow, giving them the best opportunity to succeed.  He will also be following the riders in the team car, giving them the assurance that should a mechanical happen, they will be sorted and on their way in a matter of seconds.

We wish the Cycle Power team and management a safe trip and the best of luck for this race!
