Wilro Cycle Challenge

 In Races, Reports

This past weekend our Elite/U23 team took on the Wilro cycle challenge. The race has always been known to be a flat our fast race which this year once again didn’t disappoint. There was a flurry of attacks in the opening kilometers where in the first hour of racing we were averaging 45km/h. There was a break of 8 that went off the front and managed to open up a 3min30sec gap on the bunch. We had representation up front with Dylan le Roux amongst along with Protouch Jayde Julis and Rynard butler ,BCX David Maree and Luso Calvin Beneker to name a few.

The break managed to stay away where in the closing Kilometers  Dylan le Roux tried to make a break but he was simply out number and ended up finishing 7th overall. The team is showing vast improvement in all fields of cycling and it is only a matter of time till they are one of the teams to watch.

Congratulations to Jayde Julis and Rynard Butler of Protouch Taking 1st and 2nd.
To everyone who took part in the race congrats and we hope you achieved your targets.
